Here’s our first look at English actor Sean Pertwee in his latest role, on the set of the BBC series, The Musketeers.
The 49-year-old will appear in the season 1 finale of the show ‘Musketeers Don’t Die Easily’, playing the character Sarazin. Though we’ve already previewed the upcoming tenth episode, we still know very little about how Sarazin fits into this dramatic plot, other than he has a link to Milady de Winter.
Off set, there is of course the Doctor Who connection with fellow Musketeers cast member Peter Capaldi, who plays Cardinal Richelieu. Capaldi being the latest actor to take on the role of the Time Lord, while Sean’s father Jon Pertwee played the Third Doctor back in the early 70’s.
Sean meanwhile has recently appeared in such shows as ‘Luther’, ‘Death in Paradise’ and the upcoming 2014/2015 superhero action series ‘Gotham’, which will air in the US on Fox. Pertwee will be starring as the character Alfred Pennyworth.
Episode 10 of The Musketeers will broadcast on BBC One at 9:00pm on Sunday, 30 March, 2014.
