Who are the Tumble celebrity gymnasts?
Here’s our first look at the complete contestant line-up for BBC One’s brand new gymnastics based reality series Tumble, which begins broadcasting live on Saturday, 9 August, 2014:
Girls Aloud member and solo singer Sarah Harding.
Four-time super middleweight world boxing champion Carl Froch.
American ‘Dynasty’ and ‘General Hospital’ soap actress Emma Samms.
Journalist and Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean.
‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Lucy Mecklenburgh.
BAFTA Award-winning English ‘Wolfblood’ actor Bobby Lockwood.
Ian ‘H’ Watkins, better known as H from Steps.
Former Sugababes singer and dancer Amelle Berrabah.
EastEnders and musical theatre star John Partridge.
As pictured above, TV keep-fit legend Mr Motivator was originally included in the Tumble celebrity lineup before being forced to leave the show due to injury. Real name Derrick Evans, the 61-year-old injured his knee in late July, while rehearsing for the live Saturday night shows.
During the 6-week competition, the celebs will each be teamed up with a professional gymnastics partner, with whom they’ll attempt to perform some show-stopping routines and win the public vote.
Of course no reality TV competition would be complete without a panel of expert judges, to critique the amateurs efforts. The Tumble BBC judges line-up will feature aerial performer Sebastien Stella along with gymnasts Nadia Comăneci, Craig Heap and Louis Smith. The Saturday night series will be hosted by Welsh ‘One Show’ presenter Alex Jones.
