The BBC have just released these preview images for episode 6 of their latest hit TV series, The Musketeers. The programme will guest star actresses Tara Fitzgerald as Marie de Medici and Amy Nuttall as Agnes.

Fitzgerald is an award winning English actress who regularly appears on both stage and screen. Among many other roles, the 46-year-old starred as Dr. Eve Lockhart in the BBC’s ‘Waking the Dead’ and Selyse Baratheon in ‘Game of Thrones’.

Her character Marie de Medici (not to be confused with other historical figure, Maria de Medici), is the once banished mother of King Louis who comes to her son seeking protection.

Meanwhile Amy Nuttall, who plays the character Agnés, is probably best known to UK audiences for her role as Chloe Atkinson in the ITV soap, Emmerdale. The 31-year-old has more recently starred as Ethel Parks in the period drama, Downton Abbey.

You can catch the two actresses, along with the rest of The Musketeers 2014 cast, in episode 6 which airs at 9:00pm on Sunday, 2 March on BBC One.

Created by Adrian Hodges, this ten-part BBC TV series is based on the Alexandre Dumas novel, ‘The Three Musketeers’.
