X Factor UK 2013 Bootcamp: Nicole Scherzinger’s Girls Category Shine

Saturday night on ITV saw the start of this years X Factor bootcamp performances and it was judge Nicole Scherzinger who was left spoiled for choice.

In addition to 2013 series favorite Tamera Foster, the judges also saw powerful performances from the likes of Hannah Barrett and Abi Alton to name just two. This string of high level vocals left Nicole with a number dilemmas due to her only having six seats available for judges houses.

After filling all six places early on, Scherzy chose to change her line-up on two occasions, with one act still to perform. This forced contestants Lydia Lucy and Sheena McHugh to give up their seats and leave this years X Factor.

Last up in the girls category bootcamp auditions was Dublin’s Melanie McCabe who gave an emotional rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘The One That Got Away’. The 20 year old’s audition was enough to win over the judges, leading to Nicole making one last swap, Melanie for Karen Harding.
