When is The X Factor 2014 final and what location is it being held at?
This years grand final will be taking place on the dates of Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December 2014 at Wembley Arena, now known as The SSE Arena, Wembley.
What time?
Saturdays show airs on ITV from 8:30pm to 10:35pm, while Sundays event is on 8:00pm to 10:05pm.
Update: This years final will be contested by Ben Haenow, Fleur East and Andrea Faustini.
Beginning on the 1st of June this year, the energy company SSE signed a 10 year sponsorship and naming rights deal with the famous Wembley arena.
With last years finale having also been broadcast at the London venue, you might have considered this year to be Manchester’s turn again. Back in 2012 The X Factor final was held outside the capital for the first time in the shows history, moving north to the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
But rather than allowing the two venues to continue sharing the role of hosting the event, with each holding it on alternate years, it now appears producers would rather stick closer to home. Prior to the final, the weekly X Factor UK live shows are filmed just down the road from The SSE at Fountain Studios. Whether or not cost cutting had anything to do with the decision to stay local is open to debate, but for a show that’s willing to spend £1million on a 1-minute series trailer, they’re hardly on a tight budget.
Anyway, as the 2014 live shows get underway, here’s a look at the line-up of contestants hoping to be performing on that Wembley stage this December:
