When does the Tumble TV show start on BBC?

Featuring 10 celebrity contestants teaming up with pro partners in the hope of performing show-stopping routines, the air date for BBC’s Tumble has now been set for 6:30pm on Saturday, 9 August, 2014, live on BBC One.

Hosted by The One Show’s Alex Jones, the new BBC1 gymnastics reality series see’s Sarah Harding, Carl Froch, H from Steps, Mr Motivator, Bobby Lockwood, Lucy Mecklenburgh, Andrea McLean, Amelle Berrabah, John Partridge and Emma Samms compete for up to six weeks as they battle it out for public votes.

Judging the BBC Tumble celebrities each week will be gymnasts Nadia Comăneci, Craig Heap and aerial performer/choreographer Sebastien Stella. Fresh from the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the panel will also include Olympic medallist and Strictly Come Dancing winner Louis Smith.

In episode 1 of Tumble, viewers will also get to see a special performance by Louis himself, along with five other Team GB male gymnasts, including some of his 2012 Olympic team mates.

Over the course of the series, Tumble will feature showcase routines from the best of British gymnastics and circus performers, including Olympians Louis Smith and Beth Tweddle, as they’ve never been seen before. No stranger to reality TV competition, Dancing on Ice champ Beth will also be working on the BBC show as a mentor to the celebs.
