The BBC have now officially set the start time and date for their upcoming music documentary, When Corden Met Barlow.

Airing from 9:00pm to 10:00pm on Monday, 5 May, 2014 on BBC One, the programme see’s actor and comedian James Corden get up close and personal with singer-songwriter and friend, Gary Barlow.

Setting off on a road trip, the pair take an in-depth look at the pop stars life and career, discussing Gary’s meteoric return to the charts and TV screens, while also getting to know the man behind the music.

The show follows Gary’s 25-year-long career from the beginning, through the original Take That days, through the wilderness years and into his modern day success. Also learning about the darker times which have inspired his lyrics.

James Corden, who’s been a fan of Take That since his adolescence; spends some quality time with his hero, visiting a number of key places in the singers career, from working men’s clubs to the nightclub where Take That originally auditioned.

Viewers will also hear what other stars have to say about the former X Factor judge, including contributions from Robbie, DJ Chris Evans and music legend Sir Elton John.
