In what was for me, the highlight of episode 4 in The Voice UK Blind Auditions, Rachael O’Connor sang a great rendition of Emeli Sande’s ‘Clown’.

Here’s the video of this talented 16-year-old, who lives in the village of Drumsurn in Derry, Northern Ireland, giving the coaches what they wanna hear:

During Rachael’s excellent performance, Kylie, Tom and Ricky all turned in hope of adding the young star to their respective lineups, with will.i.am apparently not paying attention. Here’s what the coaches had to say:

Will: “You were wonderful, I’m a fool, I should’ve turned around.”

Kylie: “You are what I was just dreaming to hear, and then to see.”

Tom: “Well I loved it, I think you sound original. As young as you are, you’ve already found yourself, I think.”

Ricky: “It was great, it was really, really good and your confidence on stage just poured over the back of my chair like a tidal wave.”

With a potential winner up for grabs, all four coaches were clearly aware that which team the 16-year-old joined, could prove a pivotal moment in the series.

In the end Rachael decided to join Team Kylie, much to the disappointment of Ricky and Sir Tom.
