This November see’s the start of Mystery Map, a new two-part ITV investigative series hosted by Julia Bradbury and Ben Shephard. Delving into the world of the unknown, the show will investigate some of Britain’s most famous mysteries and unusual goings on.
Featured over the two 60-minute episodes will be a number of unexplained cases including a York inn’s ghost of Guy Fawkes, the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident, a Manchester Museums rotating Egyptian relic and the legendary Beast of Bodmin Moor.
Julia and Ben will tour the country in order to investigate these mysteries first-hand, looking for possible explanations. The presenters will use a combination of eyewitness testimony, historical records, expert insight and filmed reconstructions to help shed light on these perplexing events.
It’s good to see an original paranormal investigation series on UK television, when British fans of the unknown usually have to settle for over-dramatized US shows like ‘Fact or Faked’ and ‘Finding Bigfoot’. Though they may be entertaining, their often really hard to believe or take too seriously.
The start date for Mystery Map is Wednesday, 20 November, 2013 at 8.00 PM on ITV.
