We announced a few weeks back that BBC Two would be broadcasting the BBC America series ‘Intruders’ this Autumn, and now with the official release of these cast images, that UK air date can’t be too far away.
The 8×45-minute episode series began airing across the Atlantic on the 23rd of August, 2014 and we can expect to hear news of an exact BBC Two start date in the very near future.
In the above picture we see British actor John Simm as former police officer Jack Whelan, along with US actress Mira Sorvino as his on-screen wife Amy. Meanwhile, below we see another British actor, James Frain, as Intruders chief bad guy Richard Shepherd.
Lastly we have American actor Tory Kittles in the role of Gary Fischer, an old school friend of Jack’s who reappears just when Whelan’s apparently peaceful life starts falling apart.
Series Plot
Intruders is a mystery-thriller which follows a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. Based on Michael Marshall Smith’s novel ‘The Intruders’, the series is a contemporary and chilling drama set in the moody American Pacific Northwest.
John Simm plays the role of writer and former LAPD cop Jack Whelan, a man with a troubled past who finds his new peaceful existence destroyed by the disappearance of his wife. Consumed with finding Amy, Jack begins to question how much he really knew her.
