‘Citizen Khan’ Season 3: 2014 Cast List, Trailer and Air Date Released

When is Citizen Khan back on TV in 2014?

The air date for season 3 of Citizen Khan has been confirmed for Friday the 31st of October, 2014 on BBC One, with full catch-up available online via BBC iPlayer.

In a change to previous series which generally aired post-watershed, this year sees the show broadcast at 8:30pm. However, start times may differ depending on which BBC region your viewing, with Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales schedules possibly varying. In total, the new series will run for seven 30-minute episodes, with episode 7 being a Christmas special.

The third series kicks-off with the family returning from a trip to Pakistan. Fed-up with the constant presence of his mother-in-law, Mr Khan receives the unexpected and initially welcomed news that she wishes to move into a care home. However, after learning she may have a fair-few quid to her name, Mr Khan becomes less keen to see Naani leave.

Set in Sparkhill, Birmingham, Citizen Khan follows the antics and adventures of loud-mouthed, tight-fisted, self-appointed community leader Mr Khan. Quickly becoming one of the BBC’s top sitcoms, the show is written by Anil Gupta and Richard Pinto, along with star and creator Adil Ray.
