When does the new season of Atlantis start on BBC One?
The Atlantis season 2 air date and time has been officially set for Saturday 15 November 2014, at 8:30pm on BBC1. The new series is scheduled to run for a total of 13 episodes. With the original series having premiered in the UK on the 28th of September 2013, Atlantis starts a little later in the year this time around. With season 8 of Doctor Who filling the BBC1 Saturday evening slot until the 8th of November, Jason and the guys were always likely to be kept waiting.

Atlantis Filming Locations
Beginning in early April 2014 and lasting for seven months, filming for the second season of Atlantis again took place by the shores of the River Severn at the former Tesco distribution centre near Chepstow, South Wales. In preparation for the new series, the locations sets were both improved detail wise and expanded to ensure viewers are treated to an even greater spectacle than last year. Speaking to the BBC about the improvements, Pythagoras actor Robert Emms said: “It’s much more detailed this year, you definitely get a feeling when your on set that you are transported to another place. It’s really easy to get lost in the moment and to really believe that you are in a different time.”
Genuine outdoor locations, such as the desert and beach scenes, were filmed in Morocco.
